Getting back into the ‘swing’ of things

A few weeks back, more like a 2 month period, my forex trading learning came to a bit of a halt, this was mostly due to other projects I was working on that consumed my time, and I perhaps didn’t manage my time effectively as I was trying to achieve other deadlines, and as a result trading took a bit of a back seat!

I have to say I missed it, the charts, the learning, the ‘ahh I understand that now’ moments when a piece of information finally makes sense, so many elements I missed.

So I set about making a plan, of what I was going to do and when, set some targets and goals and got going. I have been re-reading all of my forex education course, regularly reviewing the charts, looking for potential set ups, placing orders, and really committing to trading, because I truly love the feeling of it, being able to understand the charts, that I once thought were so complex, is a truly exhilarating feeling to me.

The plan for the foreseeable future: chart time and analysis everyday, develop my knowledge of forex, strategies, platforms, as well as keeping up with regular blog posts, trying to provide some inspiration for others here and there, for anyone it may interest. I have re-read areas that I wish to improve or practice, such as my ASR (Advanced Self Review) as I really want to begin to clearly see where my mistakes are being made, and to generally improve my overall technique, as well as bringing in and using back testing methods, of which I have not previously used. I am still demo, but the live account is open and pending, I just want to prove and gain some consistency and figure out my key mistakes and how to improve everything including my strike rate.

As they say, and as I have said many times in previous posts, you’re more likely to achieve goals if you write them down, whether it be in the form of goals, a to do list, targets for the week, however you choose, but this has definitely been a go to method I’ve used over my time since discovering forex, as the results and self accountability works very well for my situation and lifestyle.

If you have never heard of or considered forex trading, or maybe you have heard about it but don’t know what it is, it’s definitely something to look into, forex trading is a lot of effort and study and work for a while, but the results can be phenomenal, the mindset lessons alone, are invaluable, combined with learning a skill such as trading, whilst learning about many other things along the way, it’s a great process, great for someone looking to live a laptop lifestyle, on their own terms whilst having so much time to work on other passions. If you’re interested or for more information, head to Infinite Prosperity to take a closer look, have a read of the 3 free lessons (which are really educational!), as this is where I have learned everything Forex.

Feel free to message if you’d like any information, or for any other questions :)
